On November 8, the 2024 China-Africa Economic, Trade and Cultural Forum with the theme of “Exchange and Mutual Learning, People-to-People Connection, Win-win Cooperation” opened in Jinhua. More than 400 guests from 40 countries and regions gathered together to continue the traditional friendship between China and Africa, expand exchanges and cooperation between China and Africa, and work together on the road to the dream of modernization.
Zhejiang is an important province for China’s cooperation with Africa. Jinhua has carried out extensive cooperation with Africa in various fields such as economy, trade and culture. This forum is a vivid local practice to implement the spirit of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. It is hoped that China and Africa will work together to promote modernization, deepen economic and trade cooperation, and promote cultural exchanges, and jointly explore practical measures for China-Africa cooperation, and contribute to building a new era of all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future.
Zhejiang will earnestly implement the spirit of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, focus on what Africa needs and what Zhejiang can do, continuously broaden the breadth and depth of Zhejiang-Africa cooperation, work together to build a “friendship bridge” of Zhejiang-Africa friendship, enhance the “power source” of Zhejiang-Africa friendship, sing the “main melody” of Zhejiang-Africa friendship, and promote the development results to better benefit the people of China and Africa.
The forum showcased the results of the 2024 China-Africa Cultural Silk Road Exchange Month.
