African enterprises enter Jinhua

A procurement matchmaking meeting for African enterprises entering Jinhua was held, and more than 80 Tanzanian enterprise representatives connected with the market and enterprises in Jinhua City to carry out cooperation exchanges and market procurement. This is the second visit of the Tanzanian economic and trade delegation to Jinhua after August last year.

In recent years, Jinhua City has taken trade with Africa as a key breakthrough direction for deep integration into the joint construction of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, established trade exchanges with all African countries (regions), and promoted the steady expansion of the scale of trade with Africa and the continuous optimization of the structure.

In 2023, Jinhua City’s exports to Africa exceeded 100 billion yuan for the first time, reaching 106.64 billion yuan, accounting for 34.4% of Zhejiang Province’s total exports to Africa. So far, Jinhua City’s import and export scale and export scale to Africa have ranked first in Zhejiang Province for 11 consecutive years, and have accounted for more than 8% of the country’s total exports to Africa for 9 consecutive years, ranking first among prefecture-level cities in the country.

On the one hand, Jinhua enterprises actively “go out” and take the initiative to seek close and stable cooperative relations with all parties in Africa. Since last year, Jinhua City has organized two economic and trade delegations with a total of more than 200 Jinhua enterprise representatives to carry out trade and investment promotion activities in Africa, and achieved remarkable results.

In August last year, members of the Tanzanian economic and trade delegation visited Jinhua, and the two sides reached a number of cooperation intentions in the fields of hardware equipment, cosmetics, clothing, luggage, etc.

The African companies visiting this time involved building materials, mining equipment, medical equipment, textiles and clothing and other fields. At the matchmaking meeting, representatives of Chinese and African companies negotiated in groups according to industry categories. Jinhua Customs, Jinyi Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Tanzania CRDB Bank respectively gave special lectures on customs clearance policies, comprehensive bonded zone formats, and Tanzanian banks.
