Five projects in Jiaxing were selected as typical cases of provincial language and writing work

On November 4, the results of the second batch of typical cases of language and writing work in our province, “one place, one brand, one school, one feature”, were announced. Two projects in Jiaxing were rated as “one place, one brand” language and writing brands, and three schools were rated as “one school, one feature” language and writing typical case schools.

Among them, the Hanfen Recitation Group project submitted by Zhang Yuanji Library and the “Love China, Inherit Culture” Haining City Primary and Secondary School Idiom Competition project submitted by Haining Youth Palace were rated as “one place, one brand” language and writing brands, and the Affiliated Primary School of Zhejiang Pinghu Normal School, Jiaxing Xiuzhou Experimental Primary School, and Jiaxing Xiucheng Experimental Education Group were rated as “one school, one feature” language and writing typical case schools. These projects not only show Jiaxing’s active exploration in the field of language and writing promotion, but also set an innovative example for the city’s language and writing work.

In recent years, Jiaxing City has actively planned and promoted activities related to language and writing work, and achieved remarkable results. All member units of the municipal education system and counties (cities and districts) have combined language and writing work with reality, put forward corresponding normative requirements for the use of words in official documents and websites, promoted the standardization of language and writing in the whole society, and highlighted the basic engineering role of language and writing work. Starting with environmental publicity, all parts of the city widely publicized language and writing work through public accounts, LED screens, windows and other channels, checked and rectified the non-standard use of words in public places such as nameplates, signs, advertisements, slogans, and public facilities, distributed the “Proposal for Promoting Putonghua” to residents, publicized the “National Common Language and Writing Law” and the national language and writing policies and related knowledge of promoting Putonghua in the new era, and enhanced the awareness of language and writing laws and regulations in the whole society.

In the future, each selected unit will further explore its unique experience in promoting the popularization of the national common language and writing and creating its own language and writing brand characteristics, establish advanced models, and fully demonstrate the social benefits and brand effects of language and writing work.
