On October 31, the shared court in Yiwu Comprehensive Bonded Zone was unveiled and opened. This is the first shared court in our province set up in a comprehensive bonded zone.
As a special customs supervision area with a high level of openness, rich preferential policies and convenient customs clearance, Yiwu Comprehensive Bonded Zone plays an important role in promoting the expansion of foreign trade and promoting industrial transformation and upgrading. Since the closure of the customs, it has attracted many types of enterprises such as bonded logistics, general trade, cross-border e-commerce, processing and manufacturing to settle in, and put forward higher requirements for the business environment and the rule of law environment.
In order to further optimize the rule of law environment and improve the quality and efficiency of grassroots legal services, the Yiwu Comprehensive Bonded Zone Management Committee and the Yiwu Municipal People’s Court established a shared court and invited legal advisers, police officers in the jurisdiction, street community grid members, industry experts, enterprise representatives and “two representatives and one committee member” to join the mediation expert pool. Next, these experts will provide enterprises with “face-to-face” and “zero-distance” diversified legal services and play an indispensable role.
On the same day, the first case mediation work of the shared court in Yiwu Comprehensive Bonded Zone was launched. The court director, the liaison judge and the on-site mediator worked together to conduct on-site mediation for a dispute over overdue payment for goods by a local enterprise. The two parties sorted out the legal relationship of the case, accurately identified the focus of the dispute, and through patient and thoughtful work, successfully facilitated the two parties to reach a settlement agreement.
