Zhejiang tea crosses mountains and seas and gathers at the starting point of the Silk Road. From October 24th to 28th, the 2024 Zhejiang Green Tea Promotion Xi’an Tour with the theme of “Zhejiang Green Tea, Taste the World” was held, and hundreds of famous and high-quality tea products gathered in the ancient capital of Xi’an. In this promotion event, our city organized a total of 43 tea companies to participate in the exhibition.
As an important node in ancient China’s tea-horse trade, Xi’an has always been a distribution center for tea trade in Northwest my country. Zhejiang Green Tea Promotion is a core measure for Zhejiang Province to carefully build the “Zhejiang Green Tea” brand, actively expand domestic and foreign markets, and build a Zhejiang Tea Marketing Alliance. It is an important bridge for Zhejiang tea to effectively connect with the market and a highly anticipated tea event in the national green tea field.
Lishui is a first-class tea-growing area in China, with a history of tea production of nearly 2,000 years. The tea industry has become the most growing agricultural characteristic advantage industry in the local area. According to professional data, in 2023, the tea garden area in Lishui will be 632,000 mu, the tea output will be 53,400 tons, the output value of the first industry of tea will be 6.071 billion yuan, and the combined output value of the first, second and third industries will exceed 17.02 billion yuan.
At the promotion meeting, after strict review by authoritative institutions such as the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Hangzhou Tea Research Institute of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, and Zhejiang University, 80 annual gold award products stood out. Among them, 13 teas such as the Zhejiang Red Brand Zhejiang Black Tea produced in Qingtian and the Yunping Tea Brand Wilderness Green Tea produced in Qingyuan were awarded the annual gold award products.
