On October 25, Jinhua International Communication Center (JHICC) was unveiled, marking a new stage of development in the city’s international communication capacity building. The center aims to build a flagship platform for external propaganda with strong leadership, communication and influence, expand external communication channels, build international communication positions, improve international communication efficiency, and further tell the Chinese story, Zhejiang story and Jinhua story.
Jinhua is the heart of Zhejiang and an open highland, with unique resources and natural advantages in international communication. In recent years, our city has continuously explored and integrated special international communication resources, amplified Jinhua’s international communication volume, continued to polish the “Belt and Road · Golden Hub” international communication brand, improved the quality and efficiency of overseas communication, built and used foreign media interview lines, created special foreign cultural exchange brand projects, and continued to strengthen international communication capacity building. At present, our city has built 7 provincial international cultural exchange bases.
In order to make Jinhua’s stories continue to “break the circle and go abroad” and let Jinhua’s voice spread farther and wider, Jinhua International Communication Center adopts a full-platform matrix operation model in accordance with the “1+1+10+N” system architecture to achieve physical operation. The center will integrate multiple communication resources, focus on Jinhua’s unique advantages, deeply explore the communication content with Jinhua’s recognition, and show Jinhua’s international charm to the outside world. In order to amplify the radiation effect of the international cultural exchange base, the center has set up the first batch of 10 “Jinhub International Communication Observation Points” such as Zhejiang Normal University and Jimingshan Community, Jiangdong Street, Yiwu City, to enhance the efficiency of the external communication window fulcrum.
At the event, more than 100 guests from home and abroad witnessed the establishment of Jinhua International Communication Center. Goli is an international communication expert with more than 200,000 fans on the Instagram platform. She and her boyfriend came to Yiwu a year ago, casually recorded every bit of life in Jinhua, and promoted and promoted Jinhua’s beautiful scenery, food and culture through self-media platforms, which attracted netizens at home and abroad to like it. On the same day, she and nine other international communication experts from different countries and regions accepted the appointment letter of “Golden Hub·International Communication Ambassador”.
On the same day, Jinhua International Communication Alliance was established simultaneously, and the “Golden Jinhua·Perfect” top ten international communication activities and the top ten international communication brand activities of counties (cities and districts) were released on site, including the online collection of global communication ambassadors and the collection of “AI Jinhua” short videos, etc., aiming to widely spread the good Jinhua story.
The 2024 “Explore Jinhua” international media collection event co-organized by the Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department and Xinhua News Information Center was held simultaneously. 30 reporters from media organizations such as AFP, CBS, Tanzania National Television, and South Africa’s Daily News went to Wuzhou Ancient City, New Energy Vehicle Town, East China International Intermodal Port, Pujiang Shangshan Archaeological Site Park, Yiwu International Trade City and other places for interviews and investigations, focusing on the characteristics of urban development and showing the beauty of Jinhua’s economy and humanities.
