According to Taizhou Daily, the “High Quality, High Management, High Future: CACA (China Anti-Cancer Association) Hospital Management Development Seminar” was held in Hangzhou recently. Taizhou Cancer Hospital has become a group member of the China Anti-Cancer Association and has been awarded the Cancer Prevention and Screening Training Base, Cancer Rehabilitation Training Base, and Cancer Industry-University-Research Transformation Base.
As the only hospital in Wenling City that has established a cancer screening center, Taizhou Cancer Hospital has a professional screening team with more than 10 years of experience in tumor screening. The hospital has won the title of “National Standardized Cancer Screening Promotion and Management”-AAA Management Center, and has become the Zhejiang Province Practice Base of the National Health Commission’s Health and Health Talent Training Project “Chronic Disease Health Management Cancer Screening and Early Diagnosis Training Course”, and receives many groups of students from the province to visit and study every year.
In 2022, the hospital was rated as an excellent project site for the National Rural Cancer Screening (Colorectal Cancer Screening) Project. The first free lung cancer screening project for 10,000 people in the county government was established and carried out for five consecutive years. By the end of 2023, more than 69,000 lung cancer screenings, more than 190,000 colorectal cancer screenings, more than 11,000 colorectal endoscopy examinations, more than 120,000 breast cancer and cervical cancer screenings, and more than 20,000 gastric cancer screenings have been completed.
In recent years, the hospital has successfully introduced the Taizhou branch of the Academician Shen Hongbing Workstation, and strived to build a comprehensive and full-cycle tumor prevention and treatment service system. As an affiliated unit of the Wenling Tumor Medical and Prevention Center, it further established an intelligent tumor screening, diagnosis, treatment and management system, and is committed to building a full-cycle management platform for lung cancer. At the same time, it carries out scientific research, scientific research cooperation, and achievement transformation, and puts scientific and technological projects into clinical application, promoting a significant improvement in the city’s cancer prevention and treatment level.
“Micro-invasive” characteristic diagnosis and treatment technology leads the development of comprehensive tumor treatment, minimally invasive, precise radiotherapy and targeted therapy. The tumor discipline group is one of the six key development discipline groups in the health and health system of Wenling City. The hospital’s rehabilitation work spans multiple departments such as rehabilitation medicine, neurology/surgery, breast surgery, and head and neck surgery. It attaches great importance to talent training and selects rehabilitation teams to study in well-known hospitals inside and outside the province. It has formed a multidisciplinary collaboration model to fully serve patient rehabilitation.
In addition, the hospital has joined hands with the government to build a medical big data and artificial intelligence research institute to promote scientific research on clinical medical big data such as malignant tumors. It has Taizhou Key Laboratory and GCP Center, relying on the platform construction of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hangzhou Medical Institute, and introducing the China Science Research (Taizhou) R&D Center, which is guided by clinical problems and focuses on research in the fields of tumor diagnosis, precision medicine, and smart health.
